Steve Aldous has been trying civil cases before juries, judges and arbitrators for more than 18 years. Steve has tried cases ranging from medical malpractice to trade secret protection, from pharmaceutical liability to breach of contract, from all types of wrongful death to securities fraud. Steve has tried cases all over the State of Texas and Oklahoma. In addition to trying cases, Steve has successfully briefed and argued appeals in the Texas Supreme Court, the Dallas, Austin, Eastland and Forth Worth Courts of Appeals, the United States Courts of Appeals in the 5th and 10th Circuits, and the Alaska Supreme Court. Steve believes that the variety of cases he has tried, and argued on appeal, translates into a tangible benefit for all of his clients.

Steve graduated from The University of Texas with a BBA in Finance in 1984. He went on to law school at the University of Houston where he received his JD cum laude in 1987. At law school, Steve was awarded membership in the Order of the Barons, an honor bestowed to those in the top 15% of their class after 60 hours of credit, and awarded membership in the Order of the Coif, an honor bestowed on those who graduate in the top 10% of their class. After law school, Steve clerked for the Honorable Paul Brown, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Texas. After his clerkship, Steve went to work for the prestigious Dallas law firm of Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal, LLP, where he first met Bobby Varner and Mike Braden.

Steve's Civil Trial Law practice focuses on all serious personal injuries no matter what the cause, business litigation of all types, and securities fraud. Steve is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specializationan honor held by less than 3% of the lawyers admitted to practice law in Texas. He is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the ABA, the TBA, and the Dallas Bar Association. Steve was raised in Lake Jackson, Texas, and moved to North Texas in 1987.

  • Medical malpractice against a Dallas hospital after a cardiac alarm sounded for 28 minutes with no response by the nurses.
  • Numerous claims for customers against various brokerage firms for securities fraud.
  • Both Plaintiff and Defense of numerous claims on behalf of securities firms against other securities firms for raiding and trade secret violations.
  • Claims on behalf of the family of a deceased worker killed by an explosion against chemical plants for negligence and gross negligence.
  • Pharmaceutical liability on behalf of numerous individuals taking the Fen/Phen weight loss combination.
  • Numerous trade secrets claims on behalf of companies against departing employees and competitors.
  • Trademark infringement on behalf of trademark owners.
  • Claims on behalf of those killed in the crash of a National Guard airplane on approach to Juneau Alaska.
  • Claims on behalf of the pilot in the crash of a Rocket conversion of a Mooney airplane.
  • Antitrust claims on behalf of a Fortune 100 company against a software provider.
  • Claims of trade secret violations on behalf of an oil and gas producer against a departing geologist and his new partners.
  • Principal appellate lawyer in Utts v. Short in the Texas Supreme Court.
  • Principal appellate lawyer in Himsel, et. al. v. State of Alaska.
  • Numerous claims on behalf of people killed or seriously injured people as a result of car wrecks and faulty automobile design.
