Steve Aldous

Bobby Varner

Steven E. Aldous

Steve Aldous has been trying civil cases before juries, judges and arbitrators for more than 18 years. Steve has tried cases ranging from medical malpractice to trade secret protection, from pharmaceutical liability to breach of contract, from all types of wrongful death to securities fraud. Steve has tried cases all over the State of Texas and Oklahoma. In addition to trying cases, Steve has successfully briefed and argued appeals in the Texas Supreme Court, the Dallas, Austin, Eastland and Fort Worth Courts of Appeals, the United States Courts of Appeals in the Fifth and Tenth Circuits, and the Alaska Supreme Court. Steve believes that the variety of cases he has tried, and argued on appeal, translates into a tangible benefit for all of his clients.

Steve graduated from The University of Texas with a BBA in Finance in 1984. He went on to law school at the University of Houston where he received his JD cum laude in 1987. At law school, Steve was awarded membership in the Order of the Barons, an honor bestowed to those in the top fifteen percent of their class after sixty hours of credit, and awarded membership in the Order of the Coif, an honor bestowed on those who graduate in the top ten percent of their class. After law school, Steve clerked for the Honorable Paul Brown, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Texas. After his clerkship, Steve went to work for the prestigious Dallas law firm of Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal, LLP, where he first met Bobby Varner and Mike Braden.

Steve's Civil Trial Law practice focuses on all serious personal injuries no matter what the cause, business litigation of all types, and securities fraud. Steve is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization - an honor held by less than three percent of the lawyers admitted to practice law in Texas. In addition, Steve is "AV" rated by the Martindale-Hubbell legal directory-the highest rating available. Steve is admitted to practice before all state courts in Texas, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Western and Southern Districts of Texas, the United States Courts of Appeals for the 5th and 10th Circuits and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the ABA, the TBA, and the Dallas Bar Association. Steve was raised in Lake Jackson, Texas, and moved to North Texas in 1987.

Robert R. Varner, Jr.

Bobby Varner has a wealth of real world experience that has proven to be invaluable when coming to the rescue of his clients. Bobby's life experiences, unmatched by most in his profession, make him uniquely qualified to handle a broad range of catastrophic personal injury and business injury cases. Bobby is an experienced heavy equipment operator, coal miner, cattle rancher, farm equipment operator, motorcyclist, and certified rescue diver. He has operated railroad locomotives, worked as an emergency medical technician and CPR instructor, a security guard, a bouncer, an embalmer, a grocer and is an active real estate investor who has owned and operated several businesses. He is also an instrument-rated private pilot, actively flying his own aircraft to complete missions for Angel Flight (providing free air transportation for sick and terminally ill patients) and the Homeland Security Emergency Air Transportation System (providing volunteer pilot services to respond to small local and major national disasters or tragedies).

Bobby has used his vast experience to handle cases filed across the country -- from Massachusetts, to Virginia, to Washington, to California, to Arizona and all across the great State of Texas. Bobby has tried numerous cases and has acted as lead counsel in a variety of cases in different areas of the law. Bobby concentrates on catastrophic personal injury and death cases, with an emphasis on aviation, auto, trucking and construction equipment accidents, industrial explosions, defective products and work-related accidents. Bobby has represented several Fortune 500 companies, and is currently General Counsel for a leading fractional aircraft ownership company.

Bobby takes pride in his availability to clients, handling only a few select cases, and returning every phone call and every e-mail, every day. In addition to business contact information, every client has access to his home phone, fax, e-mail and mobile numbers.

Bobby graduated from the University of Virginia's College at Wise with a B.S. in Biology in 1984.
